How to export your X (Twitter) bookmarks

Bookmarks are easy to add and hard to find again. Here are the realistic options, with their trade-offs.

Option 1 — Copy manually

Free, but slow: open each bookmark and copy the text and link. Fine for a handful of posts.

Option 2 — A cloud bookmark service

Several services sync your X bookmarks to their servers and add search, folders and exports, usually as a subscription or a paid export pass. Check each service's current pricing and what data it stores.

Option 3 — A local extension (PostCellar)

  1. Install the PostCellar beta.
  2. Open x.com/i/bookmarks.
  3. Scroll to the bottom. The counter in the corner shows how many posts were archived.
  4. Open the PostCellar library to search, or export to Markdown / Obsidian (.zip).

Trade-offs: your data stays on your computer and there is no sync to phones. Because PostCellar records what your browser displays, it captures posts as you scroll; it does not run in the background.
